Tadej Pogacar is making waves in the cycling scene as one of the world’s top riders. Tadej currently rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates, and he’s the youngest cyclist ever to have won a UCI World Tour. And at just 20 years old, the Slovenian cyclist won the 2019 Tour of California.

Pogacar currently holds second place in the UCI World Ranking just behind his teammate Primož Roglič.

He finished third in the 2019 Vuelta a España after winning three stages along the way. Tadej has won the Tour de France in 2020 and is a top contender in the 2021 race as well.

Tadej won the general classification, and the young rider and mountains classifications — and therefore secured his place as the only rider to hold all three classifications at the same time.

He became the first rider since cycling legend Eddy Merckx to win three jerseys in 1972. Pogacar is also the second youngest winner following Henri Cornet (who won the Tour de France in 1904), and the first Slovenian winner.
