Nope! We make bicycle insurance accessible to every rider, in every state. We cover residents living in the U.S. and Canada. Terms and conditions for rate and coverage may vary by state.
Warranties and renters or homeowners insurance likely aren’t going to grant full coverage in case of bicycle theft or damage. We know, it’s a real bummer.
We’ve put together a handy comparison of how we stand up next to renters and home insurance, so you can see exactly what you’re getting.
Some riders are in it for the adventure. Many are in it for exercise. Relaxation may be where it’s at for other cyclists. Everyone has a different ride and specific needs when it comes to coverage.
We do believe in simple and straightforward, but we don’t believe that one size fits all cyclists. The amount of coverage you’ll need is up to you. If you aren’t sure where or how to get started, you can always drop us a line. We’re here and ready to help.
Spare parts are covered! If you keep replacement parts for your insured bicycle, these will be taken care of in case of a covered incident. Benefits per loss may vary depending on your policy.
We welcome all riders! We can insure electric bikes, electric bicycles, or e-bikes, under 750 watts and 28 mph.
Your e-bike is eligible for coverage if your power assist motor doesn’t exceed 750 watts and you don’t use an auxiliary power source. Additionally, as long as your e-bike manufacturer’s published design speed doesn’t go over 20mph (under power assist), you’re good!
If you aren’t sure about your e-bike’s wattage, just check your owner’s manual and reach out to us.
We wish we could cover your bicycle rack, but we don’t offer such coverage at this time. We recommend you check with your auto insurance company because there’s a good chance they can help you out.
You can insure up to 3 co-owners for the same bicycle or e-bike. If you aren’t sure what “counts” as an owner or primary operator, contact us and we can help you out.
Of course! We offer quick online quotes so you can get an idea of what your monthly or annual cost will be. Simply visit our instant quote form to get started. We’ll ask you a couple questions about you and about your bicycle, you’ll get a quote, then you can choose the policy that’s best for you.
Each of our policies are customized to you and your riding style. Simple Bike Insurance policies start as low as $100. We have low deductible options from $200 to $500+ to give you the most control over your plan.
If you’d rather get an estimate over the phone, no problem! Just drop us a line and our expert customer support team will help you out.
You can cancel your policy at any time by contacting us online or giving us a call.
While there are no cancellation fees, each policy is subject to a $100 minimum earned premium. This means the minimum cost for a policy is $100.
For example, if your annual premium is $300, or $25 per month, your minimum earned premium is satisfied after the first four months are paid. Once the minimum earned premium is met, your policy can be cancelled on a prorated basis.
If you cancel your policy before the minimum earned premium is met, you will be due the remaining balance. For example, if you cancel your policy during your second month, instead of the fourth month, then $50 would be due at time of cancellation to meet the minimum earned premium of $100. Simple Bike Insurance recommends you keep your policy until the minimum earned premium is met to avoid owing a balance at time of cancellation.
